    Description

    This vintage MCM staved teak wood ice bucket was designed by Jens Quistgaard and produced by Dansk, made in Thailand circa 1969. While it was designed to be an ice bucket, it would also make a really cute cookie jar. It measures just under 6 1/2" tall and about 9 1/4" in diameter.  It is in Very Good to Excellent used condition with no splits or cracks in the wood. The only flaws that I can find are some scratches to the plastic liner.
    Working from his studio in Copenhagen, Jens Quistgaard, a celebrated Danish industrial designer, designed for Dansk from it's inception until the mid-1980s. Quistgaard's clean-lined and immensely popular pieces for the Dansk brand of tableware helped define the Scandinavian Modern style for postwar Americans.
