I am selling a great Vernon Kilns Vermon state plate!
The plate has the title
“This is Vermont”
at the top, and
“GREEN MOUNTAIN STATE”
at the bottom. Two of its most famous citizens are depicted—Calvin Coolidge, 30
th
President of the United States, and Samuel de Champlain, who discovered Vermont in 1609. You’ll find other images of Vermont’s scenic beauty, but no mention of Hollywood’s interpretation as found in the classic Holiday movie “White Christmas”. This is a less-common Vermont State plate—the images and rim detail vary from the regular Vernon Kilns Vermont state plate.
This plate is made on the Ultra shape and glazed in maroon. It measures 10 1/4” in diameter. The backstamp shows the Freeman’s Oath from 1777, and the Vernon Kilns trademark
“By
Vernon Kilns
U.S.A.”
Condition is pristine, even mint! No sign of use or handling, and no wear or damage at all.
