    Description

I am selling a super collector plate by Vernon Kilns!
This plate commemorates the California statehood Centennial, dating from 1849-1949. A series of California Centennial plates were made with different themes.
This plate features a variety of transportation methods used during California’s first centennial as a state, from pack burro, to covered wagon, camels, trains, automobiles, and finally airplanes!
The central image shows a wedding party arriving home in an open cart drawn by 2 oxen. The plate is artist signed in the lower right of the central image by artist Orpha Klinker.
This plate measures 10 3/8" in diameter. It is made on the Ultra shape, and is glazed in brown. The backstamp reads
    “CALIFORNIA CENTENNIAL
    1849~1949
    Early Transportation in California
    Designed by Miss Orpha Klinker
Historical Data by Mrs. A. S. C. Forbes
    VERNON KILNS
    U.S.A.”
There is an image of the seal of California included in the mark.
Condition is excellent! There are a couple of small utinsel scratches on the front. No other sign of use or wear, and of course no damage at all.
    No reserve!

We ship Priority Mail with the USPS.
FYI—DO NOT MAKE PAYPAL PAYMENTS BEFORE WE SEND YOUR INVOICE!!!
The invoice sent by eBay uses shipping charges based on their shipping calculator. The eBay shipping calculator is not accurate, so your estimated shipping charge will probably be wrong. We use the official USPS website to figure exact shipping to your address. It is correct, and much more accurate than the eBay site. We will give you an accurate shipping rate to your delivery address, and will offer shipping choices when applicable.
Winning bidder pays actual shipping and insurance, plus .00 handling fee.
We accept Paypal and traditional methods.
For questions regarding payment options, please contact us through our ebay seller message center.
Kansas residents please add 9.025 % sales tax, or provide tax I.D. number. Non-USA bidders pay in American currency.
Check out our other auctions on ebay for more great stuff, and thanks for looking!
    International Buyers—Please Note:
Import duties, taxes and charges are NOT INCLUDED in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility.
Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.
These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up—do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.
We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as “gifts”—US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.
