    Description

    Here we have
    a very scarce Vernon Kilns
    Early California
covered 6" chowder bowl with tabbed handles and matching lid, in green, in excellent unused vintage condition (see full condition report below.) The Art Deco Early California line was produced mainly in high-glazed, brilliant colors, and we have these in all six of the original production colors in various conditions. Please see our store for those, as well as many more pieces of Vernon Kilns and other classic dinnerware lines.
    What's included
    : A
    two-piece set
consisting of one lugged chowder bowl and one lid, in
    green
. Last photo shows all of the original colors in which this set was made, and is there just to drool over. ;) The green set is at the bottom of the photo -- the very similar turquoise color is at the top.
    Vintage:
    Early California
    was in production from 1936-1947
    Maker/Marks
: Vernon Kilns; Early California mark
    Approximate Measurements
    : 7 3/8" wide (including tabs) & 6 1/8" diameter (not including tabs); 1 7/8" tall (without lid) & 3 3/8" tall (with lid)
    Condition:
Very clean, bright and fresh pieces. No signs of ever having been used, not even any colorless glaze scratches. One patch on back of bowl with very light surface spots scattered around a glaze pop over a kiln mark -- a manufacturer's defect--see close-up photo with area outlined in white & note that it isn't all that noticeable in the full photo of the back of the bowl (it's the glaze pop on the upper right in that photo.) The HD close-up photo doesn't show what you see in everyday life, but what you see under a magnifying glass. No chips, cracks, scratches, marks, stains or crazing. Visible kiln marks, typical of all Early California pieces.
We consider funky odors (cigarette smoke, mildew, etc) to be an important part of a condition report. Corndogcache is a 100% non-smoking environment, and we'll let you know if any of our vintage items smell like it (
    or anything else
) from activities they may have been involved in before they came to us.
    We're happy to
combine shipping at actual cost on all pieces
    purchased and paid for
    on one single invoice/order.
In order to take advantage of this shipping cost savings, you must, must, must combine all of your pieces into one order and pay for all of them at once. Ebay checkout may very well do everything it can to prevent you from doing this. Don't ask why. We don't know why. It's crazy. If this happens to you, stop, do not pay. Back out of that mess and shoot us a message instead, asking for a combined invoice, and then wait to pay from that.
If you pay for your items individually instead of combining them into one order and making one payment for that order, you will get stuck paying a shipping fee for each piece. Ebay has instituted many new policies recently, giving us no leeway on combining shipping of items paid for separately.
    The Fine Print:
We expect payment within 1 day of purchase. If you're waiting for other auctions to end so that you can combine shipping, shoot us a message to let us know.
If you're unable to pay within terms, please reach out with your Plan B. Things happen. Especially these days. So just shoot us a message.
We don't accept buyer-remorse returns but we will grant you the use of our description and photos so that you can re-ebay the item yourself.
Although we don't accept buyer-remorse returns, reach out if you're unhappy with your purchase! If we messed up -- everybody does -- give us a chance to fix it. We promise it was unintentional, and we'll do what we can to make it right.
