    Description

"Jenner’s Park was a popular place to go in the early 1900s, said Donna Trompke, Sherman County Historical Society president.
The amusement and zoo park was started by two brothers from London, Henry and Robert Jenner. The brothers were born to wealthy parents who were in the brewing business. Henry came to the United States in February 1883 to get instructions for ranching and farming. Robert came in late 1883.
Trompke said the Jenner brothers continued to develop the park and made it specific to families. It was an educational zoo and amusement park. Admission was 10 cents for adults." - from The Grand Island Independent, May 25, 2017, written by Kelli Rollin
